DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen of St. Louis Park, MN is an independently owned and operated franchise. Lynn & Sandy Monson, owners of Monson Interior Design, purchased the franchise in 1997 with a desire to build an all-encompassing remodeling company focused on bringing the element of design to all projects ranging from small innovations to total renovations. The franchise provides a purchasing base allowing us to provide an extensive variety of products and services which in turn can meet the needs of a wide range of budgets. Over the past ten years, DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen has become a recognized and reputable name in the Twin Cities remodeling market, and has received numerous industry and franchise awards. DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen has also been the subject of many industry publications.

Design & Sales |
|
Brad McCumber: CAPS, Sales Manager, Design Consultant A life-long Minnesotan and veteran business owner, Brad brings to DreamMaker over twenty years of experience in home remodeling, sales management, and overall construction knowledge. We appreciate his wisdom, his leadership skills, and his dedication to creating and maintaining the best team possible. He anchors his team with his patient, easy-going nature, and he makes sure everyone takes time to “have fun in the process.”
Brad balances his work life by taking weekend excursions with his wife of 26 years (a “gypsy” with an abundance of wanderlust) and his two daughters (both students at the University of St. Thomas). He is also a certified college coach and enjoys motorcycling and snowmobiling. |

Kristin Gabriel: AKBD, Designer Kristin’s interest in architecture, design and space planning started at a young age. She would spend many childhood hours creating floor plans out of Lego’s and even furnished the homes with Lego furniture (and this was before all the fancy pieces). She’s always loved “reading” floor plans and makes time in the spring and fall to go on the home tours, gathering ideas and seeing what’s new. It is no surprise then that she ended up a Century College design graduate. She brings to DreamMaker experience in design and client service where her talent and professionalism are evident in every project. She delights her clients with unique solutions that are highly functional while at the same time reflect their individual lifestyle and personality. We value her energy, her upbeat outlook and her determination to create solutions that completely satisfy the client.
Kristin enjoys spending time going skiing, going on vacations, and just hanging out with her husband and two sons. To relax she plays piano, reads, and watches “chic” flicks (usually without her “three boys”). The role model who continues to inspire her is Frank Lloyd Wright because he wasn’t afraid to think outside the box. |

Production |
|
Brad Krueger: Production Manager Brad’s interest in carpentry began while working with his father at a young age, and during his high school and college years he worked with a friend in his construction company. A 6 year career detour (working in a prison after earning his degree in corrections/law enforcement) ended when he started working with DreamMaker, where he was soon promoted to production manager. Working with people and problem solving as needed are the aspects of his job that he considers most enjoyable. We admire his work ethic, his ability to multitask, and his rapport with his team; our clients appreciate his ability to concisely orchestrate their projects to bring them in on time and on budget.
Brad lives with his wife, two sons and a daughter in Arlington. He manages to find time to enjoy activities with his family, particularly fishing and playing sports with his kids (coaching soccer was a great time this past summer).
John Shima IV: Carpenter John’s previous 5 years of experience as head of maintenance for 100-year-old buildings in Minneapolis have served him well in his work at DreamMaker. He loves problem solving and detail work, the satisfaction of seeing a job well done and the reward of seeing delighted homeowners. We value his positive outlook, always greeting everyone with a smile and a cheerful “good morning!” He is more the quiet type of worker but his meticulous work speaks for itself.
As a youngster, John played with Legos and built forts in the woods. Today he lives with his fiancée Sara and his five year old son, Johnny (John Shima V) and enjoys rustic camping with them and tinkering with his car and motorcycle with Johnny. If he weren’t a carpenter, he would most likely be a furniture maker or a mechanic. |

Administration |
|
Cathy Bowlby: Administrative Assistant Cathy earned her BA in accounting from the University of St. Thomas, and DreamMaker benefits from her many years of experience in accounting and customer service for construction based businesses. A supreme organizer, Cathy loves to be busy—it’s that Midwestern work ethic—and she deftly orchestrates the flow of office work through our systems. We depend on her multifaceted support and her down-to-earth perspective, and enjoy her ever-present sense of humor evident in the laughter often heard above the hum of the busy office workday.
Outside the office, Cathy and her husband enjoy sports—both playing and watching (go Twins!), fishing in Canada, reading, playing video games, snowmobiling and caring for their many dogs.
