We turned this tired 1950s rambler into a midcentury modern gem. Closing off the door from the foyer to the kitchen allowed us to reconfigure the galley kitchen into an efficient U-shaped kitchen open to the living room and the backyard view–ideal for entertaining.
Fran Mullin, ASID, worked with us to remodel her downtown high-rise condo kitchen, achieving a sleek high-end European look at a modest price point. We opened up the new kitchen to the living spaces, bringing in natural light and taking advantage of the beautiful cityscape views.
We gave this 1980s contemporary Tuscan home a new kitchen layout for organizing, cooking, and entertaining. Drawing inspiration from the treasured wooden table, our new kitchen design delights the senses with a mix of materials and finishes.
We tore down the kitchen walls in this 42nd floor condo to create one large space open to the breathtaking views. The new elevated kitchen includes a granite and glass topped island. Modernizing the space are dark woods contrasted by accents of bright color.
The walls came down in this 26-year-old Country French house as we eliminated a central hallway to open up the entire main level and flood it with natural light. The new kitchen is now the hub of the home, ideal for frequent entertaining as well as quiet dinners for two.
Demolishing a wall between a small kitchen and an unused formal dining room created a large space for this new kitchen to accommodate multiple activities for a busy family. We added a sit-up bar and a corner banquette for informal dining, playing games, and doing homework.
The existing layout of this executive kitchen was very functional for our client, so she appreciated our custom method of re-facing which made her remodel less stressful, less costly, and faster than a full kitchen remodel. New granite countertops complete the upscale look.
We call this our "fusion" kitchen remodel–a blend of new and reused, natural and manufactured, smooth and textured, matte and polished. The joyful result is classy casual, cool and comfortable. The island re-faced in metal laminate and topped with soapstone is the star.
Re-facing took this sturdy but standard basic oak builder kitchen to a clean and contemporary version of a traditional Cape Cod kitchen. Decorative end panels and moldings give the island a furniture look, and white marble and butcher block countertops enhance the style.
The new black granite countertops in this townhouse kitchen made the old white cabinets look dated, so we faced the perimeter cabinets in a warm honey maple. A metal grid laminate was applied to the island and the backsplashes to complement new steel appliances.
